THE DITCH GYM

Background

The Ditch Gym is a fitness centre in Batemans Bay. I was employed from the very beginning in October 2023 to create the Instagram account from scratch, build brand awareness, and generate excitement ahead of the gym’s official opening on 6th April 2024. I continue to manage the account today — over a year later — implementing a long-term strategy that highlights the inclusive, community-driven atmosphere the gym is known for.

 

  • From Zero to 1,349+ Followers in just over 12 months (account created & managed from scratch).

  • Consistent Monthly Reach of 80k–120k Views, peaking at 128k views.

  • 79.5k views in the last 30 days (current).

  • 40% of reach from non-followers → ongoing growth & brand awareness beyond the existing community.

  • 1,300+ profile visits per month and 70+ monthly link clicks driving real enquiries & bookings.

  • Reels & Stories dominate — Reels driving up to 57% of total reach, Stories consistently engaging 40–55% of audience.

  • Top content hitting 8k+ views regularly (community features, trainers, and event content).

  • Ongoing strategy: Daily content showcasing members, trainers & events → highlights inclusivity and builds a strong community identity.
